Cultivation of Plant
- You can grow the cosmos into pots with a good seed starting mixture. Seedlings grow first and then turn them into 5 inch pots as soon as they are three to four inches tall
- After winter plant seeds grow into moist, well drained soil about 1 to 4 inches deep and 12 to 18 inches apart.
- Cosmos plant can tolerate only the warm and dry weather.So be aware to grow it after frost.
- Cosmos may grow up to 18 to 60 inches tall & it depends on the type of Cosmos flower. But it is sure that it obviously contain a high stem.
- It may takes few weeks to bloom first, about 7 weeks, if you grow it from seed would continue before the next winter come back.
Caring of Plant
- To prlong your cosmos plant you need to eradicate dead or faded flowers.
- You also need to bind the stem with a stick or staking should be done for extreme tall plants.
- Obviously care that plant gets water sufficient but make sure don't over water the plant coz it can lead to plants with fewer flowers.
- Cosmos plant grow from their self seed that's why it may become weedy sometimes, so remember to check.
